    @doc8406 pretty sure it’s “stoned me”… not sure if that’s the title, but that’s what it is.

    Marty!!! I’ve been studying classical guitar for a bit now but I decided to get into chords for jammin’ the other day, and everything I’ve learned so far about chords is from you! Thanks so much, you’re an awesome teacher! And hey do you think you could make a tutorial for The Story by Brandi Carlile? It seems beginner friendly but also has some interesting bits :D Thanks a bunch!

    @Snakbratsch
    That happens because they’re playing notes that are not in the G major scale. If they were playing notes only in the scale they would be following the rule. But pros learn the rules then break them!

    So many incredible songs only use these simple chords. It how you arrange them and add dynamics that makes them sound more than they are!

    @guitarjamzdotcom hey marty, i have watched your dvd survival guide and actually understood it, but there are songs that confuse me, hey joe by jimi hendirx for example, its got 5 majorchords, why that?
    its just one song.. but there are many others that doesnt follow the rule youve told..
