Angus Young – AC/DC – Style Licks (Guitar Lesson RO-101)

In this video I take you through 6 awesome Angus Young AC/DC style licks, close up and slow for you to check out. There is a pdf tab on the web site page which will probably make things easier. Everybody’s asking about the sound. I have a 1973 Marshall JMP50 head into a vintage late 60’s 4×12 speaker box (for the really anal, the speakers are greenbacks, two original and two re-issues). Settings: Presence 2, Bass 4, Middle 6, Treble 4, Volume I 5, Volume II 0. It’s bloody loud, even but I have it in the live room, connected by a door. No special mic though, it’s just getting picked up by a Neumann 184 I have fitted to the camera and the Lapel Mic. The guitar is a regular modern SG Standard, the trick to get a good Angus tone is to turn the volume down to about 7 or 8 – on full it’s too distorted imho.Taught by Justin Sandercoe. Full support at the web site where you will find hundreds of lessons on a wide range of subjects, and all the scales and chords that you will ever need! There is a great forum too to get help, no matter what the problem. And it is all totally free, no bull. No sample lessons, no memberships. Just tons of great lessons ๐Ÿ™‚ To get help with your lesson or song look up the number at the start of the video title (like ST-666 or whatever) on the Lesson Index page. .

In this super easy play song guitar lesson I show you how to play the chords and the strumming for this great simple pop tune, it’s only got 3 chords. This song is in the Justin Guitar Beginners Songbook. This is a Stage 1 song for those doing the Beginners Course on the web site – and you’ll find it on Page ??? (sorry I’ve not got a copy here with me, I’m home typing this on my bed at midnight!!) of the Songbook. The Justin Guitar Beginners Songbook contains 100 songs specifically structured for beginners and there are 10 songs for each stage of the Beginners Course. See the web site for the beginner lessons and more info including full song list, sample songs and order details. Nearly 500 lessons on the site now, and none of that sample rubbish and you don’t even have to give me your email if you don’t want!! Hope you dig and thanks for watching. Please favourite and tell your friends if you like it.

  1. Great licks! Could you let me know what sounds these licks are from? Or let me know where to find the tabs?

    couldnยดt say better
    cheers from brasil!

  3. Justin, you are simply the best! No other guitar videos are as easy to follow or apply. I always search for your videos first.

  4. great teaching Justin ๐Ÿ™‚ all aspects of your lessons are nice and clear and easy to understand and over the perfect timeframe. I’ve seen some guys taking 5 mins to show a 1 minute lesson even for begginers. much appreciated and keep up the good work. I can’t believe 17 people didn’t like the lesson?!…. it’s a crazy mixed up world a tell thee!

  5. Dude, seriously… Thank you. I’ve been stuck in this poor man’s Stevie Ray, Albert King, BB King loop with my licks for ages. This (licks1 and 2) gives me just what I need as a template to try some new things. After being in a world-famous AC/DC tribute band for 7 years you think I would have known this ๐Ÿ™‚
    Thanks again!!!!!!

  6. “I wanna sleep with A chord people…” hahah, I love it when you tweak the lyrics with chord names and strumming patterns :-)))

  7. Thanks for this mate. Really like the song and now i can pretty much play it. Have just purchased your beginners book also. Keep it up. Its people like you and a couple of others on Youtube that help people like me to get better at guitar. Thanks again.

  8. @xlxuchihaxlx1 I think he’s using a Hudson Glider Capo, it’s really cheap, 8 euro/about 7 pounds

  9. I find these so called “easy songs” more difficult than the more difficult song’s an solo’s.

  10. @JustinSandercoeSongs your singing is actually decent not as bad as others! Justin please show us how to play “Disco 2000” PLEASE!!!!!!

  11. Justin I beg of you to teach us “Going to California” by Led Zeppelin. I’m trying my best to learn it by ear, but I’m not quite that good yet.

  12. I actually think you sing it better than pulp, I can actually understand you! and you’re singing, NOT whispering like pulp.

  13. I appreciate that you accomodate for everyone but we got Marty for songs this simple, need some new mega riff lessons; like Snow. Cheers.
